I had a game of Civ where Poland declared war on me. They were on the other side of the map.

I didn’t see them for 8 turns. Turn 9 I see a horde arrive on my border. Turn 10 - at the earliest opportunity they were able - they asked for peace.

All of them, to be fair.

Badlands, ARCtagon, and Tokyo Underpass were all great challenges and really fun imo.

With the standard maps, there’s no variation.

When the maps went standard I started playing a lot more snowy day, hoops, rumble and dropshot.

Unfortunately, I know I’m in the minority who enjoyed the novelty of the nonstandard maps.

Exactly the same boat. I got to about 900 hours. I’ve barely touched it since Epic took over.

For me, it started when they took the non-standard maps out of competitive play.

I think this vastly overestimates the average person’s ability to recognise or even care to recognise what is AI and what is not.

You’ve got all those videos on Facebook which are BLATANTLY AI and the comment section is split between “wow, amazing!” and “it’s AI you fucking morons”

The latter will eventually leave the platform and the former will be all that’s left.

My gf’s employer was going into administration last month. AI was surprisingly competent in determining where to seek advice and had a decent understanding of what to expect and how to approach things such as not getting paid on time (which happened last week).

Of course, we double and triple checked any information given to us with the relevant bodies, but it provided a little relief to go into something so chilling not being completely clueless.

AI has its use, but you have to know how to extract the information you need.

It’s stupid the way people are using it for therapy. Like, by all means ask it if it knows any organisations which can help you, then look those up, but don’t tell it a load of personal information about your relationship, because the reply will be something akin to the advice you see on r/relationships (which is probably where it scraped its data from) 😅

Queuing in Britain is one of our greatest strengths. Everyone stays chill, nobody cuts in, everyone knows that everyone gets seen in due time.
