The obstacles serve a specific purpose though. Do you believe this purpose is unimportant?
How difficult is it to communicate to others without letting your ego get in the way? I swear, you people act like literal children sometimes haha
Got it. Thanks
What would you consider proper attribution?
Low power. Only picks up your cars receiver, and potentially neighboring vehicles temporarily if they are receiving at the same frequency.
It’ll evaporate in less than 24 hours. Not enough time for mould to develop. If I drop ice cube, I allow my cat to play with it without cleaning it up.
Meh, people actually aren’t so bad. It just might appear that way in media. Keeping your heart open and compassionate, I’ve come to realize we all have invisible baggage and problems we go through everyday, and the best way to get over and through our obstacles is with others. No one can do life alone.
Why are you guys arguing? The chart means exactly what it says. People who have played the game with more than 100+ hours. It says nothing about people who’ve finished the game.
There’s probably some sort of positive relationship between the two, but we’d need mire information.
You can’t do anything alone. Isolation will be the downfall of society as we know it. I hope AI isn’t leading us in that path
Omg I hate this so much fuck you

You’re acting as if the bot had some sort of intention to help him. It’s a bot. It has zero intention whatsoever since it’s not a conscious entity. It is programmed to respond to an input. That’s it.
The larger picture here is that this technology is being used by people in a way that’s being used as if it were a conscious entity. Including the mentally ill. Which is very dangerous, and can drive people to action as we can see.
That’s not to say I have any idea how to handle this. Because I don’t have a clue. But it is a discussion that needs to be had rather than minimizing the situation as an “well the bot actually tried to talk him out of suicide”, because in my opinion that’s not the point. We are interacting with this technology in a way that is changing our own behavior and world view. And it is causing real world harm like this.
When we make something so believable as to trick people into thinking that they’re interacting with consciousness, that is a giant alarm we must discuss. Because at the end of the day, it’s a technology that can be owned, controlled, and manipulated by the owner class to serve their needs of maintaining power.
Ethical options?
Problems can be ongoing or increase in severity. Just because it’s been an issue for a while doesn’t mean it’s too late for change.
Also, some people don’t have the luxury to choose an ethical employer (if they even exist).
I’m not necessarily disagreeing with you here, but thought I’d provide a counter argument.
A group of children are dying of a horrible, deadly disease that can only be cured with the bark from a specific tree. So we go into the forest and chop this tree down to save the children from an excruciating disease.
A squirrel had built its entire home in that tree. That tree was everything to the squirrel. Now the squirrel has nothing and will suffer because we chopped down its home.
How do we explain this to the squirrel? Well, we can’t. No matter how hard we try, we can’t explain why we needed to destroy its home. The squirrel is physically incapable of understanding.
Playing devils advocate here, perhaps the reason for the need for human suffering is so beyond our understanding and comprehension that we are just physically incapable of understanding. Maybe we’re just squirrels, and human suffering needs to happen for some greater purpose unbeknownst to us.
